Add Images to Your Gallery

Add a manifest from the Library of Congress

The Library of Congress is the de facto US national library. It contains millions of holdings, and many – but not all – of their item images are available through IIIF.

• Go to the Library of Congress’ Maps collection

• Choose an item and go to the record page.

• Scroll all the way to the bottom of the record.

• The last text entry will be titled “IIIF Presentation Manifest.” Right click on “Manifest (JSON/LD)” and copy the link address.

• Navigate back to the IIIF Gallery Builder. Paste the the manifest in the top field and click “Add Manifest(s)”
